Trick & Meet! Reinvent HelloWeen with your neighbours of all ages.

Halloween is another chance for neighbours to get together in their street. You don’t have to close the road either; it can be a street meet anywhere you can gather.

Whether or not you want to support children doing the full trick-or-treat door to door, dressing up in ‘scary’ outfits and parading can be fun. This does not have to be just for kids – adults can take the chance to wander around and socialise with neighbours in the street in fancy dress too.

Some ideas for your street Halloween:

• dress doorways with lit pumpkins or colourful lights
• Jack the Lantern art comp
• pumpkin soup or pie
• mulled wine or cider, and mulled apple juice for the kids
• group dancing to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, all dressed in masks

There are lots more ideas on the internet. Remember you don’t have to spend a lot of money.
