Street Party Community of the UK

One area in Bristol called Easton is the UK’s leading street party community, with over 40 streets holding one at some time – see map below.

19 parties were held in one year and virtually every street has had one. Many are repeated each year, so the area is saturated with knwoing the value of street parties.

This happens partly just because of the local neighbourly culture, but also it is a result of our various projects and the support of Bristol City Council.

The local community centre loans out the only kit that residents need; ‘road closed’ signs and bunting. See full list of Bristol street party kit centres.

Residents tell us in surveys that they now feel more positive about their neighbours and the area.
