BBC explains why few street parties so far – late surge expected

April 6, 2011 by Chris

The BBC news website quotes Streets Alive about how the weather and timing has delayed street party plans so far

In its article on the BBC News website they give a full explanation about why there have been delays in street party planning so far. Streets Alive’s view is that with the recent good weather in early April there will be a late surge in enthusiasm.

But because most council road closure application dates will pass by mid-April we are encouraging people to plan one later in the summer and/or to hold a last minute StreetMeet over the wedding weekend.
