Clever residents in a north London street held a ‘street meet’ party last summer.
Some Tuffnell Park residents held their street party between the cars and on the pavement. This imaginative idea was instead of the full street party held when the road would be temporarily closed.
One of the residents said “We just went for it. It was not as long or varied as the proper thing, but it was just as good for us to meet neighbours on the lovely sunny evening.”
