Neighbours can have a spooky time dressing up with the kids for Halloween
Halloween on Monday 31st October was another chance for neighbours to get together in their street.
Whether or not you want to support children doing the full trick or treat door to door, dressing up in ‘scary’ outfits can be fun, like in this picture in Oxford.
This does not have to be just for kids – adults can take the chance to wander around and socialise with neighours in the street in fancy dress too.
Some streets dress their doorways with lit pumpkins or colourful lights which will brighten up the street now that it is getting dark much earlier, especially as the clocks change the weekend before.
Other ideas include having pumpkin soup, mulled wine or cider together and group dancing to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, all dressed in masks.
We have heard stories from all around the country, but Streets Alive would love to hear from any streets that have held them.
Happy Halloween!
