What Streets Alive is up to as the street party season hots up

Too late for Royal wedding Street Party? Forgotten that we have an extra bank holiday in April? Just woken up with the spring sunshine?

Well no fear, instead of a full blown Street Party you can hold a last minute informal StreetMeet.

These are still great fun events, held with neighbours and with many of the ingredients of a Street Party. Pick a piece of land, such as a driveway, front garden or end of a cul-de-sac that is private, so you don't need permission and have your get-together there.

Street SwapShop Trial Launched by Streets Alive

Over 50 street parties are going to trial our new Street SwapShop during their royal wedding Street Parties. This unique toolkit allows people to build on the small acts of neighbourly kindness that people perform everyday in their communities. The idea is to help neighbours share their skills, ideas, resources, and goods, starting at the Street Party and continuing throughout the year. Read more here.
