Help against anti-social behaviour
15 street parties in an estate in south Bristol encouraged residents to volunteer in a Restorative Approach scheme.
After training by Streets Alive 3 year ago, the local Neighbourhood Partnership has been facilitating street parties on the Knowle West estate. Engaging with the residents in this light hearted activity enabled workers to recruit residents to join in training and support on this Home Office supported national pilot scheme.
As a result the local residents take part in mediation programmes between neighbours that are in conflict and to challenge residents that with anti-social behaviour.
Streets Alive can provide training to carry out this sort of project anywhere around the country.
