Age Friendly Streets In Your Area
Groups, organisations and councils can get help to develop the campaign locally.
Streets Alive offers help to all parts of the country to develop an Age Friendly Streets Campaign in your local community.
The campaign which started in Bristol last year has shown that it is popular in raising awareness about ageing in our streets, according to our survey of 126 residents in 15 streets.
93% said it is a ‘good idea’, especially the campaign name and flyer. 67% said that the campaign ‘could generally help to reduce isolation of older people’. More results here.
The campaign, toolkit and materials can be adapted to link with many related activities, from reducing isolation, community engagement, health to gardening.
Streets Alive can now offer support and training to anyone who wants to apply the ideas.
